louis vuitton: the birth of modern luxury

Finally, after months of hunting and waiting for its availability, as well as subsequent two weeks of waiting, it came in my mail! I ordered it before my self-imposed ban so this is counted in.

Louis Vuitton: The Birth of Modern Luxury

Purchased off Amazon UK.

If you like Louis Vuitton and if you could get your hands on this, get it! It’s filled with pages after pages of the brand’s history, vintage photos and stunning images that encapsulate Louis Vuitton’s rise to become today’s global benchmark for luxury.

With a ban on buying anything LV until 2009, I will just sit through this the whole 2008 through.

A few months ago I built up the courage to go through and order it from Tower.com because it was cheapest there – I waited a week and was still “processing” so I cancelled it :(

How much was it? I saw two copies of it at Fullybooked Bonifacio High Street last year, priced at PHP6,500. I didn’t get myself a copy :(

@ joseph – get it if you haven’t yet. you know you want to. ;)

    @ NM – haha! and now i’m on a self-imposed ban

@ Bengt – you could either get it at Fullybooked like what donquijano said, or order it from Amazon UK while there’s still some stock left.

@ 2boys1blog – I always order from Amazon and never failed me once. Go get a copy from Amazon UK!

@ donquijano – it’s £39 plus shipping, so it still turns out cheaper than in Fullybooked.

Thanks, F.B! I started reading it already and I’m loving it so far. You mean you had to carry it all the way back to the US? Yikes!

Hi. I’ve checked out Fullybooked’s website and it’s so expensive! It’s $6,809 or $150.. Krazy! The book is still out of my budget and I think I’ll just wait.. :D

Thanks thanks thanks Cheryl! Your website is amazing as well, impeccable style and topnotch photography. We love our LVs! You should probably add this title in your library. :)
