starting out small

I’m sitting out my Dunhill for this Louis Vuitton Pochette Cles I bought today.

Woohoo!

It’s my very first LV and I’ve always wanted to get this key & change holder to keep small change, bills and cards. I’ve destroyed a couple of cards because I usually sit on my wallet. The last one happened during my trip to Manila last December – could you imagine? My SA was very nice and helpful, she even complimented me on my Norwegian, she was an Australian who also had to learn the language herself, given that I was struggling with some words. Hehehe. I also made a reservation for a piece I’m planning to pick up next week, in time for my trip to Italy in two weeks!

I’m happy. :)

congratulations, mark !!! you know what they say about LV’s. they say they’re like pringles, once you pop you can’t stop. hehehe ;)

Hmmm I think I need something like that since I also destroyed some of my cards and it is not a good thing especially that I am still stucked here in the third world. Good thing the bank in Norway sent me a new one after I called them up.

Hey Liberté! Are you from TPF? :) I’m glad you enjoy yourself in the LV store, I had a nice experience there and hope for more. Hehe. I really hope I could keep her as my SA, since another TPFer said she’s a keeper. :) Thanks!!!

@freshmess – they actually mail it at my home address which is my father’s house in Norway and then my father mailed it to me here. It was even quite funny that I was also offered a credit card even though i am stuck in the third world for an indefinite period. I got the card but my father is safekeeping it. If i need extra boost I’ll just transfer funds online to my other cards here.

  13. 13 freshmess April 9, 2008 at 3:38 pm

I see. That’s what I did, too when I was in Manila, I transferred funds online to my account in the Philippines. Wish you could be back in Norway soon, Chase! How’s the weather there? It’s rainy here in Oslo! Grrrr.

Luck you – also for being able to go to Italy – is it the romantic Rome? Keep us posted!

  15. 15 freshmess April 10, 2008 at 12:34 am

I’m going to three places in Italy, Renny. I’m posting about it before I leave. :)

  16. 16 Chase Ravndal April 10, 2008 at 4:15 am

@freshmess – so you still have your Philippine bank accounts? Coz I have none I only have with me my Norwegian cards. Everytime I withdraw money from the ATMs I get around 400 to 500 pesos charge. So basically when I shop I rarely use cash but use my cards instead so I dont get this extra fee. Also carrying huge amount of cash here is a big no no for me since I am afraid that I might be robbed or something.

The weather here in Cebu is around 35 to 40 degrees Celsius. I am literally sick with this kind of heat since my body doesnt tolerate it that much.

hahaha…. that’s how I started too…LV pochette and card holder…it definitely won’t be the last.. the saga of bagaholics…enjoy her and have tons of fun in Italy!!

  18. 18 freshmess April 10, 2008 at 3:05 pm

@ Chase – I have one account in the Philippines where I transfer money to from here. It’s insane to get charged 400-500 pesos for withdrawing money, so yeah, continue using your card. Maybe you’ll lose some money in the conversion process from Kroner to Pesos. Wow, 35 – 40 degrees is heaven, it’s around 5 here.

@ Lov – Hahaha! Love it! I remember seeing you with your Speedy back in the days. Niiiice. Thanks for the well-wishes! I’ll rock Italy!

i wish. in the financial state i am currently in, i’m guessing no bags until my birthday. :-( (and that’s what my financial planner and i fought about three nights ago. he prohibited me from doing another bag purchase.)

  26. 26 freshmess April 11, 2008 at 10:59 pm

Just hang in there, ryeness. I’m sure when your birthday comes, you’re toting a great bag, and it’ll be worth all the wait. :)
