cool oslo public toilet

stortorget-public-toilet.jpg

Didn’t notice this until today when Knut and I were walking home from dinner at a steakhouse (sometimes, we just love a big slab of meat). This cool looking public toilet stands at Stortorget (The Big Square) in downtown Oslo. The toilet costs 5 kroner or 1 Euro to use, and unlocks automatically after 20 minutes. Now I don’t need to pee at a corner outside the Central Station after a Friday night-out. Teehee!

That looks so much better than the generic plastic port-a-potties they have here (if it’s not a permanent fixture in an established that you have to patronise to pee!).

I wonder if this toilet can be cruisy. I mean it can accomodate more than one person. :-)

I was quite surprised to see this myself, Brian. I heard from a friend that there is another one in another square. I guess more of this are gonna be erected all over town.

It can be cruisy, Shigeki, but can afford only a quickie. 20 minutes after use, then it unlocks automatically. Hehehe.

Always terrified with toilets that unlock automatically!
